These guys have always been balm to my problems, comforting and oil on troubled waters. This is an entire album; hope you enjoy!
Can you believe it? This heinous sexual assault, witnessed by other God-fearing, Bible-thumping, future Textile leaders of our country who stood by watching, was not committed by those Godless, hedonistic, sex-obsessed nudists!
What a rare and uncommon thing that ugly behaviour at beaches and assaults on women is not caused nudists/naturists but rather the uncontrolled behaviour of those who do NOT embrace our philosophy of respect for others! That is, the assault was done by those predators, those upstanding members of the majority of society who see US as the monsters and vilify us for being 'sinful' because we enjoy nudity without rape!. Unlike these proud Sons of the South. Anyone who sees these these young men as our hope for the future, please raise your hand. Their fathers and the other Neanderthals who taught them their morals could well be among those in public office or even running for President of the United States of America. Isn't that a comforting thought! Just some good old boys havin' a good old time.
"Two college students have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman on a Florida beach during spring break, in an attack that hundreds of bystanders apparently did nothing to stop, authorities said.
Delonte' Martistee, 22, and Ryan Austin Calhoun, 23, were arrested Friday and charged with sexual battery by multiple perpetrators, the Bay County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. Both are students at Troy University in Alabama." More: 2 College Students Charged in Gang Rape on Florida Beach It used to be said that New York City was so jaded that bystanders would ignore a mugging; here we have hundreds of America's finest enjoying a rape as casual entertainment. These kids are tomorrow's politicians and industry leaders, your doctor or accountant. Somebody's moms and dads. Your next-door neighbor. The cream of the crop who determine the future of this country. The ones with McMansions. Glory hallelujah! Our founders hoped for this, probably. These kids have NO moral balance whatsoever, yet THEY will someday rule the world.
To those so quick to criticise mainstream social nudism as it is today, consider the difference between us and them. Our community is far from perfect, but you never have and never will find anything as despicable as this among those who embrace our commitment to our lifestyle.
The world is and always has been in a pretty sorry state as it applies to individuals, but at this time and place we nudists/naturists are able to pursue our chosen way of being, though restricted. We need to strive for more freedoms and places where we can practice our 'aberrant' lifestyle, but we must never forget that we are surrounded and vastly outnumbered by those who believe that the 'slut' got what she deserved; "She should have expected it"... "Was asking for it". After all, it was 'Spring Break' right? Now don't get us wrong; we couldn't care less about these candidates. They may each have good and bad points, but that's not what we're interested in here. It's just an example of 'how low can you go' when vilifying political opponents. Now, we've got a lying sack of poop named Kevin Yoder who went skinnydipping while on a taxpayer-funded 'fact finding trip' and pretends he regrets it. sure he doe; he got caught! Now translate 'fact-finding' that to 'free vacation'; no problem with that in politics! His sin? Was it prostitutes? Gambling? Shhh... it was skinnydipping! And in Jesus's sea to boot! And then the wimp made a phony apology to cover his tracks, as if his 'sexual perversion' could be hidden so easily! Yoder apologizes for skinny-dipping But that apology is not good enough for his opponent in an upcoming election, no WAY! He's a worthless sinner and the best way to prove that is to... um... hire 'nudists' to denounce him in commercials? We need to get this straight, because it's getting quite confusing. So we have a liberal (and more likely accepting of naturism) candidate using skinnydipping against a conservative (and theoretically less likely to be accepting) to expose him as, well, whatever 'exposing' a skinnydipper means! Obviously a lying pervert, right? And even nudists (whom she must disapprove of since skinnydipping is reason to attack him) don't like him! Oh anyway, it's all very silly and it should truly terrify us that those who run our country are such f%#&@*g idiots! Didn't we get past this stuff when our Prez skinnydipped in the White House pool with the movie star he was boffing? When a Congressman got caught publicly with a naked stripper? When Senatorial aides understand that sex is a prerequisite to employment? When BJ's became socially acceptable because the Prez does it with his assistant? When selfie crotch shots don't hurt a political career? Skinny dipping? Give me a break. "In the beginning of the Middle Ages, society was dominated by priests who had restrictive views towards nudity, women, and sexuality. It was to no avail for nudists and naturists to try to explain that nakedness had nothing to do with eroticism or sexuality." More: History of Nudism If you see a small problem with this (there were no nudists/naturists in the Middle Ages), then you can understand why we titled this "Another Interesting Approach..." There have been many articles depicting the history of nudism/naturism that take us far back into history presumably to 'justify' our preference for nudity, but the fact is that the way we experience being nude today has little relation to any of it. These are apologetic theses trying to justify why we, here in 2014, like to run around without our clothes on! They are of historical interest in that they demonstrate that ideas about clothing have changed over recorded history, at least as each writer chooses to portray it (often inaccurately), but they do little to explain our interest in nude living. We need no historical justification. Social nudism is a relatively new thing and is totaly unrelated to the Middle Ages, Greeks, or mythical Biblical allusions. We are because we are, and we enjoy it for of our own reasons. If we need to defend anything, let's 'defend' what and why we are as we are now, today, in the 21st Century. Let's explain why our chosen lifestyle.behavior is not socially destructive, weird or perverted. No one gives a hoot about ancient Greeks. This is by no means a criticism of the endless array of 'History of Nudism' articles, and in fact the one posted here is excellent. This is just a small reminder that they need to be kept in perspective. They won't convince anyone and have little relation to the reality of social nudism today. Personally, Angie and Steve don't feel the need to defend anything; let alone call upon centuries of irrelevant old examples, but we do choose to try to explain our lifestyle today to the uninformed via All-Nudist.com. No one is going to see us as decent human beings in today's society simply by pointing out that Greek athletes (represented elsewhere as rather indiscriminate as to which gender they had sex with) were sometimes without clothing. Oh yeah, and few mention that women weren't allowed at those events... Tom Mulhall, AANR's Public Relations Chair and owner of the Terra Cotta Inn resort in Palm Springs, CA, is interviewed about his, ours, and others' difficulties dealing with Facebook's irrational and arbitrary censorship and blocking of FB Pages. Tom does a great job presenting our position that, even while complying with FB's difficult-to-understand rules, FB Pages can nonetheless be easily censored, suspended, or deleted for no reason whatsoever other than an unsubstantiated 'report' by a disgruntled person. This affects a lot more folks than nudists; cancer survivors, breastfeeding moms, even the American Civil Liberties Union have been punished by FB for reasons unknown. The show also covers some other related subjects, including a segment about Caliente Tampa (A non-AANR luxury resort reputed to be more sexual and swinger oriented than nudist/naturist). The interviewers seem to be well-informed and do a very good job; much better than we've usually seen elsewhere where the hosts' conception of social nudism comes from a quick Google search! At least one has some personal experience though unfortunately has a penchant for Caliente rather than a real nudist/naturist park such as the nearby Lake Como. But hey, she's young, kinda hot, and Caliente makes more sense for her than traditional nudist/naturist venues, right? Understandable. It's well worth watching though we have to admit, the lawyer was boring and we didn't stay to hear what Caliente had to say. We are, after all, a mainstream social nudism website. Who cares what they have to say? They recently offered us a lucrative advertising deal and we declined. That's just us, ya know? Can we say that we're pleased and proud that a prominent spokesperson for social nudism, Tom Mulhall, has the courage to make a serious effort to publicise Facebooks unwarranted assault against not only FB Pages related to social nudism, but in behalf of all Pages exercising free speech to promote their viewpoints. He and his resort are likely to be 'disciplined' for this by FB; he could lose his FB presence altogether. With that, we also have to ask why AANR is silent about this, as is usually the case whenever anything controversial comes up. Tom is doing this on his own, without support from AANR. Where is our nation's self-proclaimed advocate for social nudism? The highlighted links above all lead to relevant material. The interview follows 'related' topics below. Related: For those who naively continue to promote the idea that non-sexual nudity isn't a turn-on for men, we offer the following funny and revealing article. 'Skin = sex = sin' in most folk's' minds. Deeply ingrained both by society and genetics, we cannot pretend that people aren't attracted to people based on skin exposure and physical appearance. The fact the nudists/naturists are able to see past this knee-jerk instinctual response doesn't change that other fact the most people are totally unable to do so. Studies have shown that men's brains function at a lower level in the mere presence of breasts, sexualy imagery is rampant everywhere it's permitted, talk shows on TV discuss every aspect of sex constantly (along with as much skin as allowed), TV and movies expose enough bare flesh to wrap the world! So let's not kid ourselves. Nudists DO see things differently and HAVE managed to alter our perspective from that of the 'norm'. We cannot now nor in the foreseeable future expect Textile society to suddenly see the light and come around to our way of seeing bare flesh. It just ain't gonna happen. Skin is sex, period. Our community has risen above that and they will never understand. IT HAPPENED TO ME: I USED A PHOTO OF MY NAKED BACK AS MY OKCUPID PROFILE PHOTO Angie and I, Steve, have never claimed to be authorities on social nudism, though sometimes we're taken to be. Our personal experience is limited to some camps and resorts in the US plus a wealth of information gleaned from others over the years, worldwide. It's probably fair to say that we're a bit more on top of things than the average nudist because of our connections, but we have never delved deeper than anyone could if they cared. And that's the point. From OUR experience, MOST folks who might fit into the category of 'nudist/naturist' don't hang around on the internet looking for nudist stuff. They just live their normal lives and get away nude when they can. Some are lucky enough to belong to a club and attend often; some have a place available to go to when they can; some have a beach available. Some are committed to a lifestyle of nudism/naturism, some see it as a weekend diversion. But the point is, most don't hang around online like some of us do. Yeah, you know who we are. Now, it's pretty obvious that we, Angie & Steve, are online and involved a LOT. You could say that we have an iron in the fire, as does anyone who deliberately goes online with a website, blog, or even just socially networks with nudist people and places. But 'online nudists' are not the weekend campfire nudist; and we shouldn't forget that. We're ok, but far from the majority. Just as the beach nudist isn't the camp nudist who isn't the resort nudist, we here online are not the rank-and-file nudist. They are largely unaware of everything that happens online unless they hear about it from an organization newsletter; and you KNOW that they will learn nothing from those. They'll get the 'party line' of whatever those groups chose to share, We talk to folks around campfires, in the pool, and over mimosas about a lot of things, and only once over the years has anyone even heard of All-Nudist.com, a website which, like it or not, cannot be overlooked in the nudist online world. Few people that we've met EVER go online for nudist stuff other than to look for a camp/resort wherever they're next vacationing. (Once when we were at camp we had to iPhone our website to show a long-time nudist where to go in his OWN STATE! He didn't know there were any nudist places to go to.) And why would they go online? They KNOW social nudism; and live it according to their own manner. What's the draw for them? Pictures of naked women? Those are everywhere for those seeking them (that's their business, but not it's not naturism). But for Fred the farmer or Mary the Mayor or Dave the ditch-digger; why? Nudism is what they do when they have the opportunity to do so. What do they care about problems at a beach in New Zealand? And why should they? All-Nudist tries to represent that mainstream 'campground' nudism that's the foundation of all else. That's where our personal experience comes from; the mom & pop, member-owned nudist camps with ordinary folks. These are the places that grew up with social nudism in America and are struggling to survive as times change. These humble camps reflect the venues spread all over Europe where nudists aren't such second-class citizens as are we here. It's a different world and a model for us. In any event, this ramble is just to remind us that we people online do NOT represent mainstream social nudism. Though All-Nudist tries wholeheartedly do do just that, we too can fall prey to the idea that mainstream nudists are represented in ANYTHING we see online. Sorry, no. Mainstream nudists are at home quietly living their lives and perhaps looking forward to their nex nude excursion. Everyone else online has an agenda to promote, including you (and us). I guess the moral of the story is, let's not let our heads get TOO big because really, nobody's listening out there in the real social nudist community. They're busy; hopefully being naked somewhere, but they're not here. Watching a segment of 'Naked and Afraid' right now, first time other than a glance, really. I realize that strife and anger are the key to keeping an audience interested, but these two people are either incredibly stupid and angry people, or they've been told to act that way. Very convincing in both regards! I'm sure they'll make up by the end of the show.. Another already had to leave because he didn't know to keep out of the tropical sun... I personally wouldn't care to be in their situation but if I was, I'd prefer to be alone rather than with either of them! Other than the (non)'nudity' aspect I don't think I'd be watching, but that's just a personal preference in entertainment. Maybe some folks will become more comfortable with nudity after seeing this, dunno. Much better than a 'nudist' show set in i swinger's resort! Glad that one never got out of the can! Don't care for Kardashians, repo men, gator hunters (well, maybe a little) either. Or 'Survivor', the original schmaltzy 'survival' non-reality show. First show, ok. The rest? ZZZZ I promise to try to catch up on this short series though, in anticipation that our Aussie friend, Nudeyman, might be on the show next season. THAT would be great! But I still don't know where they got those clothes they're wearing. Maybe I missed a convenient shipwreck, or something... And it's odd that the premise of a naked man and woman alone, naked, in a remote location sits well with American morals, but it's not ok to see them nude from thousands of miles and months away? They find water; she won't drink unboiled water (they go have a fire), he does and gets sick. What can I say? But listen, I have to go now because they're strong enough (after eating an eel) to swim to the nearby island through the sharks during a storm! Then they'll be saved! Fingers crossed! OK, I'm back. They made it (and presumably the cameraman, too)! So ok, these dumb shows are kinda fun. Plus, we only have 180 channels and there just wasn't anything else on. Insomnia is God's greatest curse! Well, there's leprosy, flesh-eating disease... ok, nevermind! But ya know, somehow as I see people wrestling alligators, catching man-eating fish, capturing man-eating snakes, and so on, I keep worrying about the cameraman... Uh, oh; another episode starting, and this one has alligators and SNAKES! Ah,,, gotta go do some more research! - steve "We're not in the business of converting people to nudism." Camp Full Monte owners Steve and Denise explain why clothing optional rather than required nudity is their preferred approach to, well, if not nudism/naturism, running their campground. They present their case well in this video.
Something not mentioned here but a vital factor in any discussion of this kind, is that venues must operate at a profit to survive. There are a lot more potential non-nudist customers available than nudist, and the clothing-optional compromise solves that problem. The result, of course, is a lessened experience for the nudist customers who go to nudist venues to get away from Textiles and the resulting discomfort that often creates. That's why most venues require nudity whenever reasonable; for the comfort of the guests. In an ideal world, all could do as they please, clothing-wise, without anyone thinking nudity to be strange, but we don't live in that world. The reality is that nudists/naturists see things differently and are quite aware that clothed people look at us from their own perspective. Regardless of how 'accepting' they may be, we nonetheless are seen as a bit odd, and being on 'exhibition' is not a comfortable feeling unless one happens to be an exibitionist. So while we respect the decision that Camp Full Monte be a Textile campground which allows those who wish to get naked to do so, we ourselves will spend our hard-earned nudist vacation money at nudist venues where we can be around folks like us, not like those we left behind at home, at work, at the store, and everywhere else that Textile society exists. We are, after all, All-Nudist! Camp Full Monte website |
